Job Details:

A.) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor's Degree; or:
B.) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate's Degree and two (2) years of administrative support or general office support experience; or:
C.) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and four (4) years of administrative support or general office support experience; or:
D.) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B) and (C).

NOTE: Verifiable part-time and/or volunteer experience will be pro-rated toward meeting full-time experience requirements.

Provides administrative and clerical support in the operation of assigned department;
Types routine forms, letters, reports and correspondence;
Maintains various records and data including but not limited to job postings, payroll, requisitions contracts and regulatory documentation;
Acts as liaison between assigned department and other departments of the hospital, vendors, visitors and patients;
Places orders for repairs and maintenance;
Compiles statistics of departmental activities;
Prepares and develops reports;
Distributes communications to department employees;
Orders office supplies.

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Good knowledge of clerical and administrative support principles, practices and terminology in a general office setting; good knowledge of recordkeeping procedures; good knowledge of payroll procedures; ability to prepare written reports; ability to maintain records and files; ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse constituency; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; ability to utilize a variety of electronic software applications, including Microsoft Office applications; clerical aptitude; sound professional judgment; capable of performing the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
