We are looking for a CBTC Data Analyst to perform data analysis in support of on-going project activities. You will also execute recommend test scenarios as needed to verify functionality based off system behavior as well as asses field troubleshooting, maintenance procedures in CBTC equipment such as vehicle and wayside systems, and other external tasks related to the overall CBTC system. Lastly, you will perform Log Analysis and finalization of test reports based off test results in field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs data analysis of Non- CBTC and CBTC equipment for vehicle and wayside systems

  • Initiates work process procedures as per customer process

  • Identify problems detected during tests and corrects them as required

  • Provides feedback to test team as required regarding issues observed in field

  • Provides support of test Carborne and Wayside activities and the planning of field activities

  • Provides technical support in all operational matters in the functionality of wayside subsystems

  • Works with diverse departments and becomes involved in all phases of integration, commissioning and support

  • Promotes customer relations / company credibility

  • Investigate/Troubleshoot system anomalies through analysis of data files, design documentation and interaction with development departments

  • Provide summaries and detailing of test activities in the form of both informal and formal test reports

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of automatic train control systems concepts and principles as well as current existing signaling standards

  • Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments

  • Excellent organizational and communications skills, both verbal and written, and good interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated fluency and understanding/comprehension in oral and written English

  • Field experience in a rail transit installation, test or support environment or similar technology application is of significance

  • Experience in support of field activities

  • Strong process orientation and discipline to ensure compliance with both Corporate and Customer procedures

  • Critical thinking, able to identify and implement better efficiencies and process improvements

  • Effective communication skills to interact professionally with all levels inside and outside the organization.

  • Flexibility to take on additional projects and adapt to changes in priorities

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Working knowledge of safety standards and practices required at project site

  • Experience in analysis of data and identifying trends and functional deficiencies based off of a system design

  • Experience in breaking down large amounts of data and concisely summarizing the observation strongly preferred

  • Experience in customer interaction and adapting of their processes

  • Working knowledge of Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) products with respect to installation support and testing a strong asset

  • Experience in Wireshark, Python, and Excel strongly recommended

  • Typically 1-2 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above

  • Wear protective equipment such as safety vest, hard hat, safety boots, safety glasses, and flash light, when required

  • Position requires flexible work schedule. Work hours varying in length and schedule. Work hours may include a nonstandard workweek
