Design Group is recruiting for a Merchandising Assistant in our New York, NY location.


WHAT WILL I DO IN THIS ROLE?


In this role, the Merchandising Assistant will create item fact sheets according to department and data integrity standards. This person will be responsible for completing data input and final proof croquis from designers before passing along to the production team. In addition, this person will handle all item master revisions, updates, and communication.

This person will be responsible for maintaining all product database in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet format and store promotion calendars, worksheets, reports, and ads. Other key responsibilities will be to assist with product changeovers for store assortments and assisting with tracking social media comments and trends.


WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?


We are seeking someone with a bachelor’s degree in merchandising or marketing. Our ideal candidate will have advanced-level skills with Excel but will also be comfortable using the other Microsoft Office products as well.
The person who will excel in this role will have speed and precision with data entry and strong proofreading skills. This person will be assisting with sales reports and maintenance of sales updates so attention to detail is a must to be successful.
