Role:

Condé Nast seeks a highly creative, experienced, entrepreneurial executive with a deep understanding of our brands and the fashion and media industry to lead our global events business. This person should be a known influencer in premium Events spaces and must be a curious and visionary leader. As markets and consumers begin to return to live in-person events, we believe Condé Nast holds a unique position to seize on the opportunity to lead the markets in the Events business.

SVP, Global Events primary responsibilities include the development and implementation of the global events strategy by driving and leveraging current events globally, developing new event based revenue opportunities and implementing best practices. The executive will oversee the profitability/P&L of our overall events business which has multiple revenue streams including consumer, commercial and entertainment. The successful individual will be able to take events to new markets, create new opportunities with current and new events as well as work with Commercial, Consumer and Video to make the most successful events for Condé Nast’s audiences. The SVP, Global Events role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer with a focus on strategy, operational structure, insights, communication, team building and general oversight on Condé Nast’s vast portfolio of brands for global events.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement global event strategy to advance Condé Nast’s industry leadership role in the event space.

  • Build out a global events team that can work with and complement our local teams that successfully deliver events, ensure all events tie back to our larger event strategy and financial goal

  • Act as a leader and liaison with key stakeholders in global markets

  • Translate the Condé Nast events offerings, solutions and capabilities in a clear, compelling message. Collaborate with the Commercial and Consumer Revenue teams to build messaging that will drive incremental revenue

  • Implement best practices, tools, products, and resources within in all Conde Nast markets

  • Regularly develop strategy, implement process and facilitate communication across Events, Marketing, Sales, Research, Consumer and Editorial teams

  • Partner closely with key global executives across Condé Nast, influencing and creating effective relationships with key players and stakeholders

Skills/Experience:

  • 15+ years in events related management

  • Strong relationships within relevant industries

  • Excellent taste and affinity for our brands

  • Entrepreneurial business and commercial mindset

  • Ability to activate events through our commercial, consumer, video, and editorial organizations

  • Ability to and experience with working closely with highly creative leaders

  • Understanding of Condé Nast sensibilities

  • Deep Consumer experience sponsorship and subscription experiences

  • Experience Producing and or holds a production company management background

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities, work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and interact with a wide range of people

  • Highly organized with great attention to detail

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to represent varying opinions within a strong, collaborative team environment

  • Ability to think objectively and problem solve
